JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in inventory control and the purchasing and receiving function.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compare vendors to determine who can get us the lowest unit prices for consumables and supplies
Create purchase orders and place orders for consumables and supplies
Review monthly inventories from Field Techs, asking follow-up questions, and making necessary adjustments in Great Plains
Verify receiving done by the Warehouse team in PTGP_PO batches and post those batches
Create part transfer service orders for Field Techs based on requests from Field Techs and/or management or due to system errors
Adjust inventories based on emails from Field Techs who couldn’t add parts through the Hub or reported they forgot to add parts
Work with Field Service management to be certain parts are requested for new Field Technicians based on new or existing van inventory levels
Submit RMA requests to various vendors
Create purchase orders for RMAs
Receive against RMA purchase orders
Serve as backup for Purchasing and Inventory Manager as needed
Overlapping Duties

Perform transfer entries for Item Transfer Map Failures
Pull data as requested by management
Coordinate with Warehouse team for cycle counts and make adjustments in Great Plains
Assist the Purchasing Manager in the following:

o Establish and maintain an inventory tracking system.

o Establish and maintain Inventory Levels.

o Purchase Inventory as Required.

o Inventory Placement and Location in Warehouse Multi Bin System.

o Monthly Stock Cycle Counts.

o Establish inventory re-order Points.

o Maintain appropriate warehouse inventory levels.

o Maintain appropriate inventory levels within multiple vehicle fleet.

o Identify/Recommend efficiency Improvements.

Identify and recommend efficiency improvements.
Operate as a team player and help to unify the team.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

High School Dree / GED, Associate Degree preferred.
2+ years of professional experience, purchasing, warehouse, ERP system experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relevant systems.
Operate within the corporate policy guidelines and business practices.
Results oriented and demonstrated strong sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills, written/verbal with internal and external contacts.
Proven ability to be organized, detailed, multi-tasker, critical thinker, accurate, thorough and a problem-solver.
Ability to adapt to change in the workplace or assignment of duties.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Family Member is occasionally required to lift and/or move 10 pounds, sit; stoop, bend and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours or work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional overtime required.
